\sf\huge{Answer-}

When the plant cells lose water after being placed in a solution that has a higher concentration of solutes than the cells have is called \bf{plasmolysis}.

Plasmolysis occurs in hypertonic solution. In hypotonic solution, water flows out of the cells into the surrounding fluid due to exosmosis. This causes the protoplasm to shrink away from the cell wall. The plasmolysis causes wilting in plants.
