here's ur answer....
POLLUTANTS :-
the unwanted harmful elements present in air and water are called pollutants. for example: carbon-dioxide, sulphur monoxide etc.
because of these pollutants the marble of Taj Mahal is corroding and also it is responsible for acid rain.
the pollutants in air react with water vapours to form sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and nitric acid and it causes acid rain.
the acid rains are corroding the marbles of Taj Mahal called marble cancer.
hope my answer is satisfactory..!!
