what do you mean by population density? give the brief assessment of India's population distribution by density.

India is a country ranking 2nd in terms of population in the world.

Here the population is denser near sacred rivers, near coastal ,in urban areas due to various factors like employment or religious sentiments.

but the population is much denser in the Northern part of India(NIP) as compared to the southern part (Deccan plateau )of it

due to continious practices for having a male child. Because now also somewhere more importance is given to a male child.
