Power of Accommodation. The process by which the ciliary muscles change the focal length of an eye lens to focus distant or near objects clearly on the retina is called theaccommodation of the eye.

THE ABILITY OF THE EYE LENS TO ADJUST ITS FOCAL LENGTH ACCORDINGLY ,IS CALLED ACCOMODATION

It is achieved by:-
1.OBJECT AT DISTANT-
when the object is placed far away then the ciliary muscles relaxes ,eye lens becomes thin, thus focal length increases, making it possible to see

2.OBJECT AT NEAR-
When the object is placed near by,the ciliary muscles contract, eye lens becomes thick, focal length decrease ,thus making it possible to see
