The chemical reaction in which precipitate is formed is called precipitation reaction.
For example, when barium chloride reacts with sodium sulphate, barium sulphate precipitate is formed.

☺ Hello mate__ ❤

◾◾here is your answer...

✒ PRECIPITATION REACTION:-- A reaction in which an insoluble solid (also called precipitate) is formed is called a precipitation reaction.

✒SOME EXAMPLES OF THAT TYPE REACTION:--

1) Na2CO3 (aq) + CaCl2 (aq) ---> CaCO4 (s) + 2NaCl (aq)

Here,

#Na2CO3 = sodium carbonate

#CaCl2= calcium chloride

#CaCO4= calcium carbonate

#NaCl= sodium chloride

--»» In this reaction, calcium carbonate is a precipitate.

2) Na2SO4(aq) + BaCl2(aq) --> BaSO4(s) + 2NaCl(aq)

Here,

# Na2SO4= sodium sulphate

# BaCl2= barium chloride

# BaSO4= barium sulphate

# NaCl= sodium chloride

--»» In this reaction, barium sulphate is obtained as a precipitate.
