Prokaryotic Cell
- Prokaryotic cell does not have a true nucleus or membrane-bound organelles.
- These cell varies in shape and size.
- There are 4 main shapes for prokaryotic cells , they are - Bacillus(rod shape), Coccus(Spherical shape), Vibrio(Comma shaped) , Spirillum(Spiral Shaped).
- They shows Asexual reproduction.
- Examples of Prokaryotic organisms includes - Bacteria, Mycoplasma,Certain types of Algae , etc.
Eukaryotic Cell
- Eukaryotic cells do have a true nucleus and membrane-bound organelles.
- All organisms like Protists,Fungi, Plants and Animals have this cell type.
- These cells have developed cell - organelles .
- Eukaryotes can reproduce both asexually through mitosis and sexually through meiosis and gamete fusion.
