What do you mean by Rajya Sabha and lok Sabha

Lok Sabha is House of People where people eligible to vote can elect their representative by direct elections.  

Maximum strength of House allotted by Constitution of India is 552.  

Now house has 545 seats for election and up to 543 elected members and maximum 2 nominated members of Anglo-Indian Community by President.  

Total of 131 seats reserved for representatives of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Rajya Sabha is where nominees are indirectly elected by elected representatives of Assembles of States and UnionTerritories.  

Rajya Sabha meets in continuous sessions and  lower house of Parliament isn't subject to dissolution.  

Though Rajya Sabha like Lok Sabha can be prorogued by President.
