Answer:

redox reaction can be defined as a chemical reaction in which electrons are transferred between two reactants participating in it. This transfer of electrons can be identified by observing the changes in the oxidation states of the reacting species.

A redox reaction is defined as a reaction in which oxidation and reduction take place simultaneously. In fact, both these processes take place simultaneously. For example in the reaction of Copper oxide and Hydrogen.

        CuO+H2→Cu+H2O

Removal of oxygen from Copper oxide to form copper

Addition of oxygen to hydrogen to form water.
