petrol refining  is an industrial process plant where crude oil  is transformed and refined  into more useful products such as petroleum  naphtha, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt base, heating oil , kerosene, liquefied petroleum  gas, jet fuel and fuel oils.

petrol is formed from organisms living in the sea.When these organisams died, their bodies settled at the bottom of the sea and got covered with layers of sand and clay. over millions of year, they were transformed into petroleum and natural gas under the absence of air and presence of high temp. and pressure....:-)
