The number of acidic hydrogens can be known from its structure. The number of hydrogen atoms attached to oxygen in an acid are the replaceable hydrogens. Ex: Sulphuric acid and Nitric acid. In Sulphuric acid there are two hydrogen atoms attached to two oxygen atoms, so it has two replaceable hydrogen atoms.
