The power that is retained by the government after a specific power has been delegated is known as residuary power.

Explanation:

The state and the union are known to be subjects that do not fail thus referred as the residuary subjects. The parliament has enough power to make different laws.

Laws not listed in the states list they will still  be implemented. The government distributes its power to the state list, union list and also current list and by this it shows residuary power.

India is known to practice residuary power.
