Advantages of Dam :-

1. They help in controlling the floods
2. They help in water supply.
3. They help in generation of hydroelectricity.
4. They provide a habitat for wildlife.

Disadvantages of Dam:-

1.They are very expensive to built.
2.Several people and villages have to shift which are in valley due to flood risks.
3.It can also harm the surrounding environment.

Advantages:-
can store water and use when there is no water,
navigation,
flood control,
irrigation (water supply to the crops),
hydroelectric power.

Disadvantages:-
people should migrate from/near dam,
tough to construct,
huge amount of construction.
