Saytzeff rule is an empirical rule for predicting the favored alkene product(s) in elimination reactions.

Saytzeff rule : This rule states that whenever there is a possibility of formation of two alkenes by elimination, the formation of more substituted alkene is favored. In other words, the hydrogen is removed from beta-carbon having the lesser number of hydrogen.

In general, more the number of alkyl substituents attached to olefinic carbon, higher the stability of that alkene.
