secularism means that a country does not have any official religion and every citizen is free to follow any religion.

India is a secular state in following ways:

*India doesn't have any official religion.

*The citizens of India are free to follow any religion or not to follow any.

*Indian govt. abolishes any discrimination on the basis of religion.

*India allows the interference of state in the matters of any religion in order to maintain equality within the religion and between the religion.
