'Shali' is a surname in Kashmiri Saraswat Brahmin Clan. Residents of Kashmir J&k India. Because they had several hectares of paddy field, they were given this moniker (known as Shali in Persian). They were residents of Sekkidafar Safakadal, which is located across the Seventh Bridge in Srinagar's downtown area.
