Social Advertising is a subcategory under advertising. This sort of advertising is mainly for the safety and security of the public. This is advertised by the Government, private firms, and even by individuals like us.
Some examples are:

Advertisements near or in railway stations, airports, etc. containing precautions or safety measures. Boardings which people hold during rallies to spread awareness. (The Scouts Movement is an example which holds regular rallies associated with the Government through its members).
