The flowing or seeping away of the top, fertile layer of soil is known as Soil Erosion...
This phenomenon is mainly caused by deforestation...this happens as follows...
✔ Because of deforestation (large scale cutting down of trees) there remains nothing which can hold the soil firmly in place.
✔Since, No plant roots remain to hold the soil in place therefore the upper, fertile layer of soil is carried away easily by wind or water..
✔After the fertile layer of soil has seeped away.....we have pretty much nothing other than a desert-like scene...!!
------------------------------------------------------
The main reason for Soil Erosion is Deforestation; which is the large scale cutting down of trees. And this is really disappointing because.....We used to worship plants and now we kill them!!
Deforestation is something we need to deal with seriously!!.....To prevent soil Erosion, We need to reduce the number of trees being cut down..
-------------------------------------------------------
Where comes the problem the solution follows.....same here in the case of Soil Erosion. Let's look at a few ways we can save the environment and prevent soil Erosion..
⭐ Afforestation: This is the opposite for deforestation.....This is the large scale plantation of trees.....The phenomenon prevents Soil Erosion because The roots of Plants hold the soil firmly to the place and prevent it from being carried away..
⭐ Reduction in the use of Paper: The reduction in the use of Paper leads to less cutting down of trees to make Paper......Hence, Deforestation is lessened..... through which Soil Erosion is reduced too...
