It is called the' dry ice ' and' cardice ' . originally the term dry ice was trade mark for the solid carbon di oxide . Used predominantly as a cooling agent . It helps one to achieve temperatures lower than ice . It does not melt when used in transportation, does not turn into liquid. It is less expensive to produce than liquid nitrogen
