precautions should be taken =
. the soil should be properly drained & fertile
. seed should be planted properly so they can be developed into plants .
. proper manure should be scattered on the earth before sowing.

sowing means :plant (seed) by scattering it on or in the earth....
The following precautions should be taken while sowing seeds:
(i) Seeds should be grown at proper depth.
(ii) They should be sown at a proper distance apart from each other.
(iii) Seed used for sowing should be clean, healthy and free from any disease or infection.
