 { {\boxed{ \orange{ \boxed{ \huge \red{ \mathbf{DEFINITION}}}}}}}

It is the flow in which every particle of liquid flows exactly the path of its preceding particle and has the same velocity in magnitude and direction as that of the preceding particle while crossing that point.

  • Tangent at any point gives the direction of velocity at that point.
  • No two streamlines can cross each other as at the point of intersection there will be two direction of velocity which is not possible .
