Sustainable development means : carefully utilising the resources available to us, without wasting them and saving or conserving them for future. Sustainable development is necessary, so that if we use resources carefully then we can use them for a long time and if we conserve them then they may not finish off so fast and last longer than expected for the upcoming generations, they will not face any kind of problem in their future, but if we misuse or waste resources then they may finish off and we will be facing scarcity of many resources. We can achieve it even by starting conservation at home : 1. Switch off lights and fans when they are not in use, to save electricity. 2. Close the taps when not in use, to save water......We can even achieve them in public places;: 1. By driving at a low speed, to conserve petrol and diesel.

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It contains within it two key concepts:

the concept of ‘needs’, in particular the essential needs of the world’s poor, to which overriding priority should be given; andthe idea of limitations imposed by the state of technology and social organization on the environment’s ability to meet present and future needs.”
