What do you mean by synchronus and asynchronus assignment?

Synchronous and asynchronoustransmissions are two different methods of transmission synchronization.Synchronous transmissions aresynchronized by an external clock, whileasynchronous transmissions aresynchronized by special signals along the transmission medium.
