syntax is the structure of a function which includes function name, followed by an opening parenthesis, the argument of the function separated by commas, and a closing parenthesis. for example:
to add certain numbers, the syntax of the formula will be,
=SUM(number1;number2;number3)
the semantic errors are the errors which occur due to errors in the syntax.
