What do you mean by systolic and diastolic blood pressure?

The top number refers to the amount of pressure in your arteries during the contraction of your heart muscle.

This is called systolic pressure.

The bottom number refers to your blood pressure when your heart muscle is between beats.

This is called diastolic pressure!!

The pressure of blood inside the artery during contraction is called systolic pressure .It is about 120mm of Hg.

 The pressure of blood inside the artery during relaxation is called diasystolic pressure.It is about 80mm of Hg.
