Actually weight is the force that acts on a body due to gravity

f=ma

where f=force, m=mass and a= acceleration.

earth's acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 or 10

5=m(10)

m= 5/10

m= 0.5

✌✌hope it's help you ✌✌

Kg is the unit of mass. So a 5kg object has a mass of 5kg. The weight you associate with it is only relevant on Earth (under its specific gravity) and in fact really the kilogram-force measurement which is measured in Newtons (5kg x 9.8m/s2 = 49.2N). ... Commonly, it means the object weighs 5kg.
