DOAB IS A TERM USED IN SOUTH ASIA FOR THE TRACT OF LAND LYING BETWEEN TWO CONVERGING, OR CONFLUENT, RIVERS. IT IS SIMILAR TO AN INTERFLUVE. DOAB MEANS LAND BETWEEN TWO RIVERS. ... LIKEWISE, PUNJAB IS THE LAND OF FIVE WATERS, I.E., FIVE RIVERS.
