Motion
A body is said to be in motion if it's position changes continuously with respect to a fixed point(known as the reference point or the origin) with the passage of time . Otherwise , if it's position does not change with respect to the origin, the body is said to be in rest.
Example
A car travelling on a road is said to be in motion because as time passes , it changes its position with respect to the trees or buildings in the surroundings.
