It could mean that when sarus was killed it's mate (whatever it is referred to) will continue scaring the scene (whoever or whatever is there in the scene), if his mate is refered to as his ghost, then it'll be the ghost who is haunting the scene (if it is someone else, than that would be doing what his ghost did).
