Tooth decay really sucks isn't it?

The chemistry behind it is simple.

When there are leftover sugar and other stuff in our teeth for a long time, the millions of bacteria present in our mouth converts the sugars into acids for their energy and other metabolic activities.

As we all know the enamel part of our teeth is made up of calcium and other phosphates. These acids degrade the enamel for a long-term and also may ultimately reach the pulp part of the teeth in severe cases{omg}.

The real interesting part is our body has some anti-tooth decay system. Isn't it cool? Our saliva does some job in wasting off acids and preventing is some extent. Don't go off brushing for this reason, okay!

Brushing helps in killing bacteria and preventing decay. Brush daily and if you eat sweets brush twice daily...Take care of your teeth and keep smiling...

Hope it helps someway or anyway...maybe....
