Charging by Conduction When a charged object touches another object, electrons can be transferred between the objects. Electrons transfer from the object that has the more negative charge to the one that has the more positive charge.

Transfer \: Of \: Charges:

An electronic transition in which a large fraction of an electronic charge is transferred from one region of a molecular entity, called the electron donor, to another, called the electron acceptor (intramolecular charge-transfer) or from one molecular entity to another (intermolecular charge-transfer).

We can see the transfer of charges in the following:

➡When the dry hair is combed with comb. We can observe sparkles if it is done in the dark.

➡When the positive and negative charges in the cloud makes the cloud to start lightening.
