=> The transport of food material, in the form of dilute aqueous solution. the transport of food from leaves to other parts of the plant is known as translocation. Translocation of food is a better life process it is necessary, because every part of the plant requires food for obtaining energy and for building and maintaining its structure.

The mechanism of transport of food can be explained on the basis of munch hypothesis. according to this hypothesis the translocation of food from leaves to other parts occurs due to difference in the concentration of solute food particles. Leaves, which produce the food, have higher concentration but other parts of the plants have lower concentration taught therefore, food particles move from a reason of higher concentration to a reason of lower concentration that is berrys body parts of the plant.
