in a crustal atoms are arranged in a regular pattern the crustal of common salt , sugar,alum ,etc are obtained from the solution of these substance in water by a process of crystallization.

during crystallization, a solid is first dissolved in water, then the water in solution formed is allowed to evaporated , by this method , large crystal of pure substance can be obtained.
