The water molecules which form part of structure of a crystal (of a salt) are called water of crystallization.
To show there's water of crystallization in copper sulphate crystals, we can do the following experiment - -
1-take some CuSo4 crystals in boiling tube (these crystals are blue in color).
2-heat the crystals strongly over burner.
3-on heating the blue copper sulphate crystals, it will turn white and a powdery substance will form. We can also see tiny water droplets in tube.
These color changing was done as we removed the water molecules of CuSo4 crystals. All this show blue CuSo4 contains water of crystallization.
