what do you mean by weak acid and strong acid or dilute and concentrated acid
Answers
Answer:
An acid is dilute or weak, when the solute is in greater proportion than the solvent.
An acid is concentrated or strong when the solvent is in greater proportion than the solute.
here, the solute is water and solvent is the HCl (acid)
Answer:
A weak acid is the one which doesnt dissociate easily.
That is for example if you put HCl in water it is going to almost completely into H+ and Cl- ions.
and as you might be knowing.... The more the H+ ion generation tendency more is the acidic nature.
Dil and conc acid means the the number of moles per unit volume of the solution.
Let us take the same HCl for example, suppose you take a 0.01 M HCl ( kinda dilute) it is going to have 0.01 mole HCl in 1 L water.
But take 1 M HCl and it i going to contain 1 mole in 1 L.
Therefore 1 M is said to be concentrated and 0.01 is dilute.
