Work is said to be done when the force applied on a body makes the body move.
Example of negative work is when body moves on a surface the force of friction between the body and surface is in the direction opposite to the motion of the body .

work is the product of force and displacement.
W=F*S
eg for -ve work done : when a footballer kicks the ball the ball stops after some time due to friction acting on it. so friction is acting on the opp. direction of force done on object.
K.E=1/2 *m *V2
=1/2*2000*18*18
=324000J
K.E=1/2*2000*19*19=361000J
increase=361000-324000
=37000J
