INERTIA is a property of body by which if a body is in rest, it will remain in rest while there is no force acting on it , AND if a body is in motion then it will remain in motion untill a motion stops it.
FOR EX - A Bicycle stops after traveling some distance if a body stop paddeling, it stops only because of friction which is a force. and it defines property of motion of inertia
2nd example - a book on a table does not move if there is no force acting on it.

INERTIA is a property in which if a body is in rest it will remain in rest but if it is in nothing it will continue to remain in motion .
FOR EXAMPLE : suppose one boy is driving cycle and there is a downslope and he stops to paddle but the cycle goes on this is due to the inertia .
