What do you observe, when aluminum reacts with copper sulpahte solution? Explain with balanced equation.​

Answer:

In the activity series of metals aluminum is more reactive than copper.  So aluminum can displace copper from it's salt solution.  Aluminium displaces the copper from its salt solution to form Aluminium Sulphate. The colour of the solution will change from blue to transparent and copper will be observed as a layer on the Aluminium piece.

CuSO4 + Al------) Al2(SO4)3 + Cu.

  • As the reaction proceeds , the blue color of copper sulphate decolourizes
  • Solution turn colourless .
  • Red colour copper is deposited on the aluminum strip.
