Answer:

Well it all depends if I am going to live there or just visiting the city as with my husband we have lived in nine states and England due to his promotion and transfer to a better profitable store. I myself have live in three more states plus Germany (my ex was in the American Air Force) then of course I am a born and bred Londoner as I was born in Paddington, London, England. If we were to live there I would find us a house, the closest supermarket and the stores. This was the days before internet and map quest. But if we were to visit a city I would find out before hand what is the best places to visit. Ask the locals for the best less expensive restaurants to eat at. Now if we were visiting London as we love to I would have found our accommodations whether it be a hotel, bed and breakfast or a flat. Buy our travel card for the tube and buses. We also would find out whether there are any parks in the American city because my husband and I love strolling through them. It is our down time then! We also visit our favourite pubs for our evening meals and a pint as they are less expensive than the restaurants. Since I have lived or visited 47 states (except for Alaska, Hawaii and Rhode Island) and about 14 countries you can come back and ask me about a specific country or state and I will try and answer you.
