Character Sketch of George Polya:

George Polya was a famous mathematician from Hungary. He lived from 1887 - 1985. He was a professor of mathematics of many prestigious universities such as Stanford University and ETH Zurich. His was known as an excellent teacher who interest lied in pedagogical matter throughout his career. After retiring as a professor, he focused on publishing books.

Arguably, he is considered as the most influential mathematician of the 20th century. His research contributions include mathematical physics, probability theory, geometry, complex analysis and combinatorics.
