here are some reasons for poor water supply...

1) corruption in water supplier companies and corporatives.
2) Depletion of available water resources due to over / excess use and poor care.
3) Climate change such as altered weather patterns including droughts.

water supply can be improved by :-
1)Always close tap after using.
2)Don't let water overflow from containers.
3) Spread awareness among the people of your community or neighborhood.
4)Protect water resources.
5) Throwing of industrial chemicals in water bodies should be stopped, because this reduces quality & quantity of water.
6) Used water should be reused ,recycled by treating it in the water treatment plant.
7) Reduction of use of water for unnecessary purposes.
8)water used for washing clothes and utensils should be used to water plants and vehicles.
9)Always try to minimize the use of road salt.
10)Collect rainwater to improve water supply...
