The words were spoken by the father of Abdul Kalam. ... By his words and by citing the example of seagull he inspired Kalam to move ahead. Also, he told the mother of Kalam to give Kalam opportunities so that he can pursue his higher studies. I think he spoke these words so that Kalam may be encouraged.
