according to riots of the Finnish Philippines society in Helsinki,jalandaoni was the most productive Philippines writter of all time . she has been displaced from her home town twice and has survived the Philippines revolution ,the philipino American war and the Japanese occupation

Growing up she would hear stories from her mother and I think that is one of the crucial reasons why Jalandoni got into writing. She got hooked by the fact that the stories could make one a “curious cat” and that she would ask whether the stories werereal or not. Besides her first love was Jose Rizal who is known for his novel and maybe was inspired by him to become a writer.
