In canterville house the ghost only wants that family goes out of the house so that he can live happily in the house again.The canterville ghost has come to that house as his family lives here a many years old ago so he had just came there for meeting his family but the family had gone. so he decided to live there forever alone but when the family came there he was distracted by the family had decided to kick them out of the house and left happy again and he started boarding the family members by his silly doings and finally went he got the girl Victoria who promised him to help he was happy. this proves that the ghost was not bad but only needs help and so his soul rest in peace happily.
