Aram and Mourad returned the horse to John Byron for the following reasons.
- Aram and Mourad were cousins who belonged to a tribe that was renowned for its honesty and integrity. Their tribe was called the Garoghlanian tribe
- Mourad was the older one at 13 years of age while Aram was a year younger than Mourad.
- Both of them wanted to ride a horse but due to the poverty of their family, they couldn't afford to get one.
- So, one day Mourad stole John Byron's horse and brought it to Aram's house so that he could get a ride as well.
- Later, they returned the horse back to John Byron when they saw his behavior after seeing his horse with them. He refused to believe that the horse was his because of the honesty of Aram and Mourad's tribe which he had heard of.
- This made the children ashamed of themselves and triggered their conscience to return the horse back to John Byron.
