Causes for decline in tiger numbers

Habitat loss and prey depletion. ( due to the cutting of trees)

Poor genetic diversity threat to tigers.

Degradation of habitats.

Illegal wildlife trade.  ( humans use tiger skins as clothes, a few of them also eat tiger meat)

Man-animal conflict.

And

Lack of protection infrastructure.
