Five big rivers - the Mekong, Brahmaputra, Ganges, Irrawadi and Indus flow from the Himalayas and many smaller rivers. Without the Himalayas they wouldn’t have been there. Therefore not onlyPakistan, India, Bangladesh but also Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia , Vietnam and southern China would have been affected. Probably the Gobi desert would have been more extensive.
