What do you think, the poet of the poem 'SNAKE' was a coward or a brave person?

we cannot call the poet coward as well as brave because why he didn't killed the snake was his inner voice whereas he cannot be called a brave because there is no reference given about the true reason why he didn't kill the snake..

The poet of the poem 'SNAKE' is neither coward nor a brave person. This is because he has a high civic quality which makes him to respect the Snake.

On the other hand, his mind respects the voice of education which orders him to kill the Snake.
