Czar Nicholas was considered as the second worst Russian ruler of all time. He had committed worst errors in taking decisions. His worst decision was to take personal command of the army. Only Czar Nicholas thought that this was a good idea. Everyone else thought it could lead to disaster. Russia was unprepared to handle the military and economic costs. His decision to continue fighting in the First World War cost him the support of both the soldiers and the civilians. His lack of leadership, poor timing, and his clinging to a form of government that no longer fit the time, makes him the worst decision maker. His list of errors is long, starting with the decision to not to go to the people after the tragedy during his coronation ceremony. From there, things only got worse. He allowed his country to go to two wars, the Russian-Japanese war and the First World War, despite his country being terribly ill-prepared.

His another error was whom he surrounded himself with. Rasputin, his wife and seemingly his entire staff simply had no idea what to do to move forward Russia forward. When he was the ruler, Russia faced a series of crises.
