\bold{1)} Coalition government will be formed when no party get \bold{majority} in a election.

\bold{2)} Coalition government forms with the help of \bold{states} political parties and as well as \bold{independent} candidates.

\bold{3)} The party who get votes near majority will be invited by the president(for central) or governor(for states) to give majority in the \bold{house of people's} or loksabha(in central) in states governor invite to give statement for majority by voting.

\bold{4)} Majority standard

\bold{i)}In Loksabha (to form central government) :

Total members = \bold{545\: approx}

Majority = \bold{272} seats

To form government in central the party have \bold{272\: members} in house of people's or loksabha.

UPA & NDA

Sometimes, during election no part gets to win with a clear majority.


At that time, some parties join together to produce a full majority and form a coalition government.

For example, 

Coalition ministry - Morarji Desai from March 1977 to June 1979.



No coalition government lasted for long...
