It is a process of reducing or removing the magnetism of a ferromagnetic material. The induction by the internal field of a magnet. Or in other words, loss of magnetic strength is referred to as Demagnetization.
1. Low-cost inferior rare Earth magnet elements.
2. Settling in strength loss. This is usually 5-7% in the first 6 months for high-grade magnets.
3. Poor quality manufacturing procedures, including welding.
4. Oxygen and moisture absorption, corrosion.
5. Magnet damage resulting from mishandling, impact, or excessive vibration.
6. Magnet wear from abrasive product types and/or high-tonnage lines.
7. Operating temperatures and thermal shock.
